Howard Theatre tickets & upcoming events

If you’re looking for a historic spot that’s still buzzing with life, the Howard Theatre in DC is where it’s at. This place isn’t just about catching a show; it’s about soaking in a vibe that’s been alive for over a century. Opened in 1910, it’s seen everything from legendary jazz nights to hip-hop legends like Kendrick Lamar and Cardi B lighting up the stage. The 2013 grand reopening after a major facelift brought Smokey Robinson back home, and honestly, the energy was electric. The interior is pretty stunning too, with an elegant lobby that makes you feel like you’ve stepped into a different era, think vintage charm mixed with modern flair. When the lights go down, you can get up close with near-stage seats that put you right in the thick of it. Not a fan of sitting up front? The last-row mezzanine still offers a killer view without feeling like you’re miles away. And, yeah, if you’re driving in, follow the sunset down the George Washington Parkway, and you’ll be here before you know it. Trust me, whether you’re into soul, jazz, or just catching some good vibes, check the program for upcoming events because every night here feels like a special occasion.
